Through this agreement, TYM's major businesses, including Iksan Machinery Plant in Jeollabuk-do, will be gradually converted to eco-friendly and low-energy production facilities from the second half of the year. First of all, eco-friendly building designs such as low energy and low carbon will be mandatory from the design stage, and existing buildings will improve various energy efficiency through energy remodeling.
Sensolution is a representative group of experts in the field of eco-friendly architecture that provides energy performance optimization solutions for buildings. Since its establishment in 2013, Sensolution has successfully carried out green remodeling projects such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's project to spread greening of existing buildings based on market demand, Korea Energy Corporation's FEMS supply support project, Hyundai Engineering & Construction's headquarters, GS Station Tower, and National Assembly building.
Marking its 70th anniversary, TYM declared ESG (environmental, social, governance) management for the first time in the agricultural machinery industry in February this year and is speeding up its TYM-style ESG enterprise management for sustainable growth.
TYM has been minimizing waste and waste oil generated when manufacturing agricultural machinery with its suppliers, and has been continuously receiving environmental impact assessments based on international standards. To protect the environment, we also provided tumblers and eco bags to all employees to ban the use of disposable products such as paper cups. In the field of sales, tablet PCs have been used instead of paper catalogs, and lights at all workplaces are being replaced with LEDs (light emitting diodes).
"Agriculture and the environment are inseparable," said Kim Do-hoon, CEO of TYM. "We expect that this collaboration with Sensolution will achieve the company's overall ESG management goals and take a leap forward as an eco-friendly company."
