“Helping 16 young farmers get a fresh start” TYM’s 4th Tractor Donation Program for Young Farmers
- Significant increase in applications compared to last year, leading to in-depth selection process with additional interview rounds
- Donated a total of 16 compact tractors T48 and K48 with high durability and work efficiency
- TYM plans to establish and expand this donation programs for the stable farming settlement of young farmers
TYM selected the recipients of the 4th Tractor Donation Program for Young Farmers and held a donation ceremony at its Iksan plant on the 13th.
A total of 16 young farmers were selected for donation this year. Starting with ten tractors in 2020, the support scale was expanded to 16 in the fourth year. In particular, as the number of applicants for this year's competition increased significantly compared to the previous year, an in-depth screening process was conducted, including adding an interview type.
The event was attended by 16 young farmers who received tractors, their 10 family members, and 10 TYM employees, including CEO Kim Dohoon. The event was organized to encourage the dreams of young farmers, as the core goal of the project is to provide tractors to young farmers to help them stabilize their farming operations and settle in the local area.
The young farmers received the T48 and K48 compact tractors with excellent durability and work efficiency. Their various operating functions allow for quick and convenient work, and they are highly versatile in small spaces.
Ms. Yoon, who was selected as a recipient of the project, said, "I had a lot of difficulties because I couldn't do rotary work whenever I needed to, but I think the tractor I received will be of great help to me." She expressed her ambition to spread the word about the project to young people who are preparing to start their own farms but lack information such as TYM's tractor support
"It was a meaningful time to share and support the aspirations and dreams of young farmers," said Kim Dohoon, CEO of TYM. "In the future, we will gradually expand the scale of tractor support and explore and expand support measures for stable farming settlement of young farmers."
