TYM holds "2022 FUTURE CUP Design Competition" award ceremony... Announcement of NFT Issue for the First Time in Agricultural Machinery Industry

TYM announced on the 28th that it held the "2022 TYM FUTURE CUP - HERITAGE x VISION FOR THE FUTURE" tractor design contest at its headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 27th. The award ceremony was held with TYM officials, including the winners of the contest, Chairman Kim Hee-yong, and President Kim Do-hoon.

TYM's tractor design contest is designed to raise public interest in agriculture and discover a variety of future mobility visions under the theme of "The Future Agriculture You Imagine and TYM's Next Tractor." Nine final winners were selected through internal expert evaluation based on screening criteria such as originality, aesthetics, subject suitability, practical applicability, and comprehensive completeness.

The grand prize was won by Kang Hyun-seok, who designed the fully autonomous tractor "TORO." "TORO" was expressed as a small size in anticipation of an increase in the demand for single-person agricultural mobility along with the increase in the return of 2030 generations, and it is equipped with a solar panel that stores power and a mechanical wheel that can move 360 degrees. Analysts say that it reflects the increase in agricultural inflows by young people based on the global movement to realize smart agriculture and environmental protection and agricultural statistics surveys.

In particular, TYM drew attention by saying that it plans to issue NFT (Non-Fungible Token) using the grand prize winner. This is the first case in the agricultural machinery industry, and NFT, which will be issued this time, plans to distribute it free of charge through TYM's official Instagram event in the future.

Grand prize winner Kang Hyun-seok said, "I was inspired by the image of a bull running in the field to capture the dynamic and sporty design favored by young people on a tractor," adding, "I'm very happy to win the grand prize of TYM, Korea's leading agricultural machinery company."

At the ceremony, TYM awarded Kang a plaque and a certificate along with a prize of 5 million won. The awards ceremony was also held, with prize money of 3 million won for the best prize (1 person), 1 million won for the excellence prize (2 people), and 200,000 won for the encouragement prize (5 people).

After successfully completing the design contest, TYM is also considering expanding the theme of the contest throughout agriculture to hold contests on various topics such as product technology and ICT agriculture.

"The next-generation tractor design presented by the winners will be the basis for TYM's new and innovative products," TYM Chairman Kim Hee-yong said. "We will do our best to establish a paradigm for future generations and agricultural machinery innovation starting with this tractor design contest."
