- TYM’s locally customized tractor ‘T6092’ to be showcased at the agricultural expo held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from November 20-22
- First in the domestic agricultural machinery industry to develop and commercialize CNG tractors, with product distribution starting locally in 2025
- Expanding exports to neighboring countries by fostering Uzbekistan as a Central Asian hub with locally tailored products to diversify the overseas market
Agricultural machinery specialist TYM announced on the 27th that it exhibited the CNG tractor ‘T6092’ at the Korea Pavilion of the ‘UzAgro Expo 2024’, held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, from the 20th to the 22nd.
The T6092 is the first CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) tractor to be developed and commercialized by TYM in the domestic agricultural machinery sector. Targeting the Central Asian market, TYM collaborated with the Uzbekistan Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation to develop the T6092 tailored for the local market. During this exhibition, TYM promoted the product and plans to begin distributing CNG tractors from 2025. Representatives from the Uzbekistan Ministry of Agriculture and key business partners visited the site to receive product briefings and participate in test drives. TYM also engaged in discussions with the Uzbekistan government officials regarding the local distribution of the T6092.
Uzbekistan, as a major economic nation in Central Asia, has manufacturing and agriculture as its key industries. Given the country's abundant CNG resources and the industrial necessity to enhance their utilization, the Uzbekistan government’s interest in CNG tractor projects is increasing.
The T6092 offers over 75% fuel cost savings compared to conventional diesel tractors and boasts powerful performance with its CNG-gasoline hybrid engine. Once distributed, it is expected to significantly reduce operating costs for local farmers, directly contributing to improving Uzbekistan’s agricultural competitiveness.
An official from the Uzbekistan Ministry of Agriculture, who met with TYM, remarked, “The development of this locally customized CNG tractor will be evaluated as a positive project for enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s agriculture, replacing diesel imports, and fostering related industry development. The government will consider providing active support for product distribution and administrative processes.”
TYM is enhancing market accessibility by establishing and negotiating local production and parts procurement systems for the T6092 with major agricultural machinery companies in Uzbekistan. Moreover, TYM plans to foster Uzbekistan as a hub for entering Central Asia and aims to push product exports to neighboring countries while launching locally customized products that match the demand and characteristics of each market and accelerating the development of new markets.
Kim Ho-kyum, Head of TYM’s Global Business Division, stated, “From 2025, TYM will distribute CNG tractors, significantly contributing to increasing the actual income of local farmers, improving agricultural competitiveness, creating jobs through collaboration with local manufacturers, and substituting diesel imports, thereby greatly contributing to Uzbekistan’s economic growth. We will continue to expand the development of products tailored to the needs of overseas customers and local conditions to further diversify the market.”
