TYM accelerates the development of new markets such as Southeast Asia, using the Philippine market as a foothold.
TYM, the agricultural machinery specialist company (CEO Kim Hiyong, Kim Dohoon / 002900), announced on the 30th that it successfully completed the TYM Road Show in the Iloilo region of the Philippines over the course of two days on the 24th and 25th. The TYM Road Show was co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, TYM, its official Philippine partner Fit Corea, and the Agricultural Machinery Association, targeting local dealers and farmers.
This roadshow was particularly significant as it was organized as a venue for local farmers to learn about Korea's advanced agricultural production technologies, providing an opportunity to introduce TYM to the region and build the corporate brand. The roadshow was a resounding success, with more than 500 people attending each day and over 1,000 Philippine dealers and farmers participating over two days. TYM actively promoted its brand to the end consumers, the Filipino farmers, by holding company introductions, distributing promotional materials, and conducting tractor demonstrations.
TYM has successfully won a bid for a tractor supply project initiated by the Philippine government, exporting a total of 900 TYM tractors in the first half of the year. The Philippine government also conducted an award ceremony at the site of the roadshow, delivering the '5825R' model, a strategic custom model tractor procured for the Philippines. The exported TYM tractors have been successfully delivered under the guidance of the Philippine government and have received positive evaluations from local farmers and institutions. With activities such as the roadshow in the Philippines, there is a strong prospect of additional orders within the year, and the market is expected to expand further.
Meanwhile, TYM plans to continue its active investment in tractor agricultural technology education to make a substantial contribution to the modernization of agriculture in the Philippines. The company is also planning to collaborate with key universities and educational institutions locally. In addition, TYM is exploring ways to help foster local industry growth and regional economic development by organizing and expanding the local parts service network and establishing an agricultural value chain.
As a brand that is garnering significant attention from agricultural professionals and farmers in the Philippines, TYM is expanding its engagement and communication by participating in the country's largest agricultural machinery exhibition, 'AGRILINK', in October. In addition to tractors, TYM plans to showcase an expanded product line including rice transplanters, further solidifying the TYM brand value and accelerating the exploration of new markets, including Southeast Asia.
Hogyeom Kim, the Head of Global Business at TYM, stated, "Through this TYM Road Show, we not only introduced TYM to dealers and farmers in the Philippines and built our brand image, but we also anticipate additional tractor orders. TYM is committed to contributing to the modernization of agriculture in the Philippines and will use this as a foundation to further strive for the exploration of new markets, including Southeast Asia."
