"Introducing the Specialist and Master Service Program" TYM launches engineer program

TYM is expanding and reinforcing its recognized service competitiveness from domestic to the entire North American region.
Recently, TYM North America (TYM NA) successfully concluded the inaugural 'Chief Engineer Program,' awarding winners with distinctive titles such as Specialist and Master.
This new TYM NA excellence system is designed to enhance the comprehensive technical skills of dealer technicians and elevate their pride. Its main objective is to offer North American customers high-level service experiences by conducting personalized training based on Skill, Technicality, Experience, and Pride (STEP).
Each technician participates in both online and offline overseas training courses via the Learning Management System (LMS). Those who achieve 'STEP 4' through the training program become eligible to participate in the Chief Engineer challenge. The evaluation procedure includes a combination of basic competency assessment and practical tests, validated both domestically and internationally through the involvement of specialized judges.
The assessment encompasses three main areas: maintenance ability, expertise, and fundamental Skills. In the maintenance ability category, the evaluation focused on assessing repair proficiency through the disassembly and diagnosis of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical components. Under the expertise category, participants were tested on their understanding of specialized terms and repair methods by describing the procedures of specific subjects. Lastly, the fundamental skills section evaluated service professionalism, clarity of explanation, and understanding of operations, as well as program comprehension.
Those who were selected as Specialists and Masters, having earned the highest scores in all categories, are awarded certificates and granted the qualification for TYM NA regional educational mentoring. Moreover, they receive TYM Store merchandise, gift cards, or points that can be converted to cash upon purchase or accumulation. This qualification is valid for two years, and its renewal is determined based on the points accrued through activities during this period.
Meanwhile, in March, TYM held the 2nd 'Engineer Excellence Selection Competition,' providing an opportunity for current domestic engineers to showcase their maintenance technical skills. Through this evaluation process, TYM is strengthening its technician network around the engineers who were ultimately selected, expanding efforts to cultivate future talents equipped with exceptional skills.
