TYM continues to showcase its autonomous driving technology in the agricultural machinery sector.

TYM (CEO Hiyong Kim and Dohoon Kim / 002900), a specialist agricultural machinery company, announced that Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Song Mi-ryeong, visited a rice planting site in Judeok-eup, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do on the 23rd and rode the company's autonomous rice transplanter 'RGO-690'.

Minister Song experienced autonomous rice planting firsthand by loading rice seedlings onto the transplanter and operating it hands-free alongside young farmers. The RGO-690 that Minister Song rode is the nation's first autonomous rice transplanter to pass the comprehensive domestic performance test for an autonomous driving system in May 2023, earning it the title of 'National Certification No. 1'.

TYM began selling the RGO-690 last year and has continued to increase sales this year, with high customer satisfaction for the autonomous rice transplanter. TYM plans to further enhance the autonomous driving performance of the RGO-690 to solidify its position as the leading rice transplanter product and expand sales.

The RGO-690 passed the comprehensive domestic performance test through the autonomous driving technology of TYMICT, a subsidiary established for the development of advanced agricultural machinery. TYMICT has developed its own core autonomous driving technologies, including the Inertial Navigation System (INS), software for route creation and tracking, and hardware such as autonomous driving controllers and consoles.

The RGO-690 applies RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) autonomous driving technology, enabling precise operations with a stationary error of 2cm and a working error within 7cm. Additionally, TYM has been consistently achieving technological development results, including passing the comprehensive domestic test for the tractor 'T130', which applies an equivalent level of autonomous driving technology.

A TYM representative stated, "We hope that the autonomous agricultural machinery developed by TYM will be of help to farmers who are diligently working under difficult conditions such as natural disasters due to climate change, population decline, and aging. TYM will continue to strive for the future growth by developing advanced digital agricultural technologies and platforms that contribute to increasing productivity and profits for farms."
