  • Additional business agreement signed based on the 'Generative AI-Based Digital Agriculture Promotion MOU' established in June last year.
  • Development of a telematics app and API for monitoring and predicting agricultural machinery conditions planned.
  • "TYM-TYMICT-SK C&C will commercialize services through close technical collaboration and secure future growth engines."

TYM and TYMICT have signed a first-phase project agreement with SK C&C to accelerate preparations for new business initiatives under their ongoing digital agriculture collaboration.

TYM, a leading agricultural machinery company (Co-CEOs Hiyong Kim and Dohoon Kim), and TYMICT (CEO Sowon Kim) announced on April 2 that they have entered into an additional agreement with SK C&C to advance the 'Agricultural Machinery Condition Prediction and Monitoring' project.

This agreement is part of the detailed implementation of the 'Generative AI-Based Digital Agriculture Promotion MOU' signed in June 2024. Its purpose is to develop and commercialize services for predicting and monitoring the condition of agricultural machinery.

Under the agreement, the three companies will develop a telematics app and an API (or AI model) to integrate monitoring services. They plan to commercialize these services through active technical collaboration and pursue marketing activities to ensure profitability, thereby advancing the partnership projects outlined in the MOU.

In this collaboration, TYM and TYMICT will provide SK C&C with specialized knowledge of agriculture, including agricultural machinery, as well as customer and service history data for service development. Once the service is developed, they will ensure its seamless integration into the telematics app, enhance its quality, and jointly handle tasks related to domestic and international commercialization, marketing, sales, and public relations.

Meanwhile, SK C&C will oversee the overall service development. It will provide IT tools and technologies to analyze agricultural machinery condition data more efficiently and incorporate the data received into the service, taking a leading role in the development process.

A TYM representative stated, "We will leverage SK C&C's data analysis and generative AI technologies alongside our agricultural data to develop an optimized service for predicting and monitoring agricultural machinery conditions. Through close technical collaboration among the three companies, we aim to commercialize this service and expand its application to various fields, securing future growth engines such as generative AI services and autonomous agricultural machinery."
