A closer look at the TYM T654 compact utility tractor’s diesel engine
The German-made Deutz TCD 2.9 L4 Turbo engine uses Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC) to convert carbon and particles into less harmful emissions. This process eliminates the need for regeneration cycles, minimizing downtime as well as maintenance and repair needs. Diesel engines, like that of the TYM T654, have become the dominant power in agricultural machinery. They produce more torque at lower engine speeds thanks to combustion ignition. Diesel engines also produce less wasted heat, so they are able to tow heavy loads and operate for longer periods of time without causing damage to the moving parts of the engine. Check and change the engine oil regularly

To change your oil, remove the drain plug and drain the oil thoroughly, especially if your replacement oil is different from the one that is currently in use. Tighten the drain plug back into place and use the filler hole to carefully add engine oil to the recommended level.
Inspect and maintain the engine’s radiator
The radiator keeps a tractor cool by transferring heat from the engine to the air. Diesel engines tend to run hotter than gas motors, so their radiators are subject to higher temperatures, which can lead to overheating. To avoid engine failure, proper cooling system maintenance is important to prevent overheating.
To inspect the radiator coolant, check that the coolant level in the reservoir is between the minimum and maximum levels and add coolant if it appears insufficient. If the coolant is a rusty color, drain the system completely and refill it with a suitable mixture of water and antifreeze or corrosion inhibitor.
Check and replace the fuel filters
Most diesel engines, including those found in TYM tractors, have two fuel filters: a primary fuel filter and a secondary pre-filter to prevent condensation in the tank from being absorbed into the fuel. Water particles in diesel can damage your engine, so help avoid them by checking the fuel filter daily, and replacing both filters every 600 hours of operation.

When dust and other particles build up an engine’s components, it shortens its lifespan and decreases fuel efficiency.
